Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Types of Data Collected

While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

  • Email address

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics
    1. Purpose: Website traffic analysis
    2. Data collected: Usage patterns, device information, location data
    3. More information: Google Analytics Privacy Policy

  • Google Adsense
    1. Purpose: Display personalized advertisements
    2. Data collected: Browsing preferences, interests
    3. More information: Google Adsense Privacy Policy

  • Clerk
    1. Purpose: Optional account registration, sign-in, session management, and account security
    2. Data collected: Account identifiers, email address, authentication and session data that You provide when creating or using an Account
    3. More information: Clerk Privacy Policy

Optional Workspace Data

If You create an Account, project names, format presets, and recent workspace activity are stored only in Your current browser during this first phase. We do not upload audio files through the workspace, and this local workspace data is not synchronized between devices. You can remove it at any time using the “Delete local data” control in the workspace. Account authentication data is handled by Clerk.

Audio conversion and loudness normalization also run locally in Your browser. We record only whether an authenticated user completed their first single-file or batch task so we can measure activation. We do not send audio content, filenames, or processing settings with that event. Subscription status and capability entitlements are stored in our database and synchronized only after PayPal verifies its webhook transmission or a direct PayPal API reconciliation succeeds.

Subscription Records, Retention, and Deletion

To provide and audit Basic or Pro access, We store Your Clerk account identifier within Geekskai, PayPal payer, subscription, payment, and Plan references, Package Tier, Billing Interval, subscription status, current period end, cancellation state, capability entitlements, and timestamps. PayPal receives an opaque checkout correlation identifier, not Your Clerk account identifier. For webhook reliability, We store the PayPal event identifier, event type, a payload hash, processing timestamps, and a short processing error code when an event cannot be linked safely. We do not store the full webhook payload or full card details in Our application database. Unused checkout correlation records are removed after 30 days.

Active subscription and entitlement records are kept while needed to provide the Service. Limited billing records may be retained for up to seven years after an account or subscription ends where needed for fraud prevention, disputes, accounting, tax, or other legal obligations. Deleting Your Geekskai account does not erase records Geekskai must retain as the seller. To request deletion of eligible Geekskai account data, contact [email protected]. PayPal separately controls the payment-account data You provide to PayPal; use PayPal's privacy request process for that data.

Download Allowance and Growth Measurement

Visitors receive an essential random anonymous cookie. We store that random identifier, the UTC allowance day, successful-download count, temporary download reservations, and the daily share-reward timestamp so allowance and concurrency checks can be enforced without requiring an Account. Clearing the cookie creates a new anonymous identity; We do not fingerprint the Device to reconstruct it. Browser storage remains only as a compatibility fallback and to carry existing same-day Visitor usage into the server-issued identity. For signed-in users, we store the Clerk account identifier, UTC allowance day, successful-download count, temporary download reservations, the applicable account allowance, and whether the daily share reward was used. Basic and Pro subscriptions apply only to the local Audio Toolkit and never change public downloader allowances. To measure whether the registration flow helps people finish their task, we also record a pseudonymous journey identifier, controlled event names, tool identifiers, and event timestamps. Shared links may contain a random attribution identifier valid for 30 days. We do not include pasted media URLs, tool input, email addresses, or IP addresses in these growth events. Linkable raw growth events are deleted after 90 days; only de-identified daily totals may be retained for longer-term trend analysis.
